The company moved into this market and by the early 80's became a significant player in the upscale luxury bath and hardware market. AF had evolved as a leader, not only in the traditional trade-related plumbing and heating products, but also in wholesale distribution. The Friedman "kids" continued to expand their physical distribution facilities and organize the company. In 1987, the company opened its premier, upscale showroom in Manhattan specifically focused on the architectural and interior design trade. During the 90's the company opened several new branch operations and pushed the business further still.Today the AF Supply Group has emerged as one of the leading privately owned plumbing and heating supply houses in the New York Metropolitan area.
